This position is responsible for configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of those systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems using various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
  2. Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; create working procedures based on specifications.
  3. Gather equipment and materials for the job.
  4. Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes.
  5. Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, brackets systems, or clamps; cut or bore holes prior to installation.
  6. Install insulation and pipe coverings; safely remove and discard old coverings following hazardous waste procedures and EPA and OSHA requirements.
  7. Inspect pipes, test for pressure and leaks; report and resolve issues.
  8. Coordinate with management to schedule maintenance, repairs, and installation, minimizing operational disruption.
  9. Comply with safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  10. Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 3 years experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter.
  2. High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational training is highly desired.
  3. Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  4. Proficiency with tools such as blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Other Duties:
  1. Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Prolonged standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and fittings.
  2. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  3. Visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
