Job summary

Impact Fire Services is a full-service fire protection company with nationwide exposure, seeking a lead technician to support inspection, installation and service of sprinkler and backflow systems. The role emphasizes customer service and professional communication with clients.

Salary ranges from $38.00 to $50.00 per hour, plus a performance bonus potential; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available based on experience. Relocation assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Fire Sprinkler Journeyman License required.
• 1–3 years field experience in sprinkler and backflow systems.
• Fire or Life Safety systems experience required.
• Must obtain state sprinkler and/or backflow licenses if not already held.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting company requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to service sprinkler systems.
• Ability to read NFPA codes and visually inspect systems.
• Proficiency with backflow testers and common pipe fitting tools.
• NICET certification in Inspection & Testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and repair Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge and Foam sprinkler systems.
• Test and rebuild backflow preventers; ensure systems operate properly.
• Identify trouble areas and perform service efficiently; build client relationships.
• Verify monitoring communication after repairs and complete installation paperwork.
• Report deficiencies to the Department Manager and maintain safety standards.
