Impact Fire Services is seeking a self-motivated Fire Sprinkler Lead Technician to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of various sprinkler systems. You will communicate with customers, coordinate service activities, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with a team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of field experience installing sprinkler pipes, pumps, and valves, with a solid understanding

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience installing fire sprinkler pipe systems, pumps and valves.
  • Must read, write and communicate with employees and customers.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge).
  • Identify trouble areas and perform service to ensure sprinkler systems operate properly.
  • Install/repair sprinkler and backflow systems and components.
  • Install/hang sprinkler systems per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
  • Repair/replace sprinkler components including fire pumps.
  • Disassembly, repair and installation of sprinkler/backflow valves; inspect systems.

Job description

We seek a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Lead Technician. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator.This important position will establish rapport and build positive relationships with our customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform service, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry , pre-action and deluge.
  • Responsible for identifyingtrouble areasand performing service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure that sprinkler systems are operatingproperly.
  • Sprinkler and Backflow Systems Installation, Repair, & Service.
  • Install/hang sprinkler systems and their components per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
  • Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components.Including Fire pumps
  • Perform disassembly, repair, and installation of sprinkler and backflow valves (once receiving license).Perform inspection of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems.
Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience installing fire sprinkler pipe systems, fire pumps and valves, required. 5+ years preferred.
  • Must be able to work alone and/or part as a team.
  • Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, customer service skills, decision making skills, ability to multitask, and the ability to train others.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate with employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to operate a computer and tablet.
  • Understanding and implementing codes and standards of NFPA 13 and 25.
Physical requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift <50lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Employees are required to see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus.
  • Employees will occasionally be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights
  • Frequent local travel and occasional regional and non-regional travel is required. Employees will frequently be required to work inside and outside in hot/cold temperatures and be exposed to loud noises, cramped quarters, dust, fumes and odors, standing on hard surfaces, and electrical hazards frequently. Employees will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, moving machinery, uneven and slippery surfaces. Employees must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.
