Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced installer to independently install fire sprinkler systems and interpret blueprints for various projects. You will use hand tools, ensure NFPA compliance, and maintain thorough documentation.

Strong communication with customers and team, ability to travel to site locations, and mentoring entry-level technicians are important parts of this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler systems per project specs.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings for installations.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure NFPA standards and local codes compliance.
• Complete installation reports and documentation on time.
• Communicate with customers and internal team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Mentor entry-level technicians as needed.
