Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Install Technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems. You will interpret blueprints, select tools, and complete installation reports while adhering to NFPA standards and local codes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years in the fire and life safety field, and a valid driver's license. NICET Level I or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in fire and life safety as apprentice or technician.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler installation practices.
  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
  • Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Install Technician is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
  • Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
