Job summary

Silco Fire & Security is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to join our team in Ohio. You will install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems for commercial properties, interpreting blueprints and NFPA standards to ensure safe and compliant installations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience, Ohio licenses for sprinkler systems and fire alarms, and a strong drive for quality. Local travel and safety training are expected as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Ohio licenses for sprinkler systems, fire mains, and fire alarms required.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local building and fire codes.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per project specs, NFPA standards, and local codes.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics for layout of sprinkler systems.
• Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and components with proper alignment.
• Test newly installed systems for functionality and compliance.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance; troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and inspectors to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and comply with OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain records of materials, labor hours, and project documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
