Century Fire Protection in Ocala, FL is seeking a hands-on helper to assist in installing and repairing fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential buildings. You will work under supervision on the job site, following specifications and safety rules.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED (or limited related experience) and a willingness to learn. The position involves manual tasks, pipe laying, and helping the crew handle tools and equipment on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 0–6 months related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications.
• Lay out pipe along designated pipeline settings in the field.
• Connect pipe using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points.
• Communicate safety hazards and discrepancies to foreman or superintendent.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safety policies at all times.

Summary

Assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial, residential buildings, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications.
• Lay out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in the field.
• Connect pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along the pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on the job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safe‑working policies and procedures at all times.

Additional Requirements

Pre‑employment drug screens; overtime may be required.

Education And/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or 0–6 months related experience or training.
