Job summary

Williams-Fire-Sprinkler-Co-Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector / Inspection Technician to ensure safety and reliability of fire protection systems across buildings.

You will perform hands-on inspections, maintenance, and testing, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. The role offers opportunities to grow into leadership, with training, mentorship, and a supportive team culture in a family-owned environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Experience in fire sprinkler inspection or related trade preferred.
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes (NFPA 13, 25) or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use hand tools, ladders, and digital reporting devices/applications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler and life safety systems across commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
  • Complete work to national, state, and local codes, especially NFPA requirements.
  • Record clear, accurate reports for customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate inspection results, safety recommendations, and next steps to property owners and managers.
  • Identify hazards and deficiencies, helping clients act quickly for safety.
  • Work independently and as part of a proud, supportive team.
  • Upgrade your skills—stay current on codes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles for safe operation.
  • Show initiative, mentor others, and help grow our reputation as industry leaders.

As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector / Inspection Technician, you help ensure safety and reliability for fire protection systems in all types of buildings. You’ll perform hands-on inspections, maintenance, and testing, all while representing the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems and life safety systems across commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
  • Complete work to national, state, and local codes, especially NFPA requirements.
  • Record clear, accurate reports for customers and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications & Attributes
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Prior experience in fire sprinkler inspection, installation, or a related trade (mechanical, electrical, construction) preferred
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes (NFPA 13, 25, etc.) or willingness to learn
  • Ability to use hand tools, ladders, and digital reporting devices/applications
  • Physical ability to safely climb, lift, and work in varied environments (indoors/outdoors)
  • Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and pride in quality workmanship
  • Dependable, positive attitude—a true team player and future leader
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level II (or above) in Inspection/Testing of Water-Based Systems
  • Certifications in fire protection, suppression systems, or life safety
  • Experience with digital inspection/maintenance tools
  • Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems
