Job summary

Wiginton Fire Systems seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to cover the Melbourne / Palm Bay, Florida area. This role requires inspecting and testing water-based fire protection systems and offers a long-term career with ESOP participation and growth opportunities.

The Inspector will perform scheduled inspections, document deficiencies, and provide professional service to customers, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in fire sprinkler inspection, service, or related fire protection role.
• NICET Level II or equivalent in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, fire sprinkler components, and testing procedures.
• Ability to use tablets and electronic inspection reporting systems.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and water-based systems per NFPA and local requirements.
• Document deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
• Complete inspection reports accurately and on time using electronic reporting systems.
• Communicate inspection results professionally with customers and team members.
• Maintain knowledge of NFPA standards, codes, and inspection requirements.
• Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely.
• Support troubleshooting and service of fire sprinkler systems as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Occasionally participate in overtime and on-call duties.
