Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to perform routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems in facilities across the Reno area. You will document findings, identify issues, and provide clear reports to clients while adhering to NFPA codes and manufacturer specifications.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in fire protection, a NICET/NFPA certification is preferred but not required, and you must hold a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in fire protection or sprinkler inspection.
• NICET NFPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong reading of schematics and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems per NFPA codes and local regulations.
• Conduct functional tests of sprinkler control valves and related equipment.
• Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for corrosion or leaks and recommend repairs.
• Document findings with deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and coordinate with internal teams to schedule inspections.
