Fire Sprinkler Inspector 2

Responsibilities

• Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection.
• Professionally represent the company at all times.
• Complete service acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices, such as laptop computers, smartphones, and/or hardcopy.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Perform other duties as directed.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and be capable of performing physical labor.
• Assist foreman in the installation of wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment.
• Be enrolled in an approved Apprenticeship Program, maintaining all requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards.
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• NICET I certification or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire.
• NICET II certification or ability to obtain within 24 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
• Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet; working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on‑call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Willing to travel out of town.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Able to pass a pre‑employment background and drug test.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $23.51 - $32.31, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The position includes a competitive benefits package.
