Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Duluth, GA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector responsible for testing and inspecting water-based sprinkler systems, identifying deficiencies, and writing detailed reports. The role requires 2–3 years of inspection experience and knowledge of NFPA codes.

Candidates should read blueprints, perform pressure tests, and coordinate corrective work with the Service Manager. A High School Diploma or GED is required; NICET II/III and Backflow certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation.
• NICET II or III Certification and Backflow Certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventive maintenance of water-based/sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and fire codes.
• Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct deficiencies.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Inspections Coordinator on delays and status to meet proposed scope.

Summary

Responsible for testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, looking for deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals consistent with experience level, ability to write detailed reports regarding inspection deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of water-based systems and/or sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and fire codes.
• Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
• Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.

Additional Requirements

Pre‑employment drug screen, Clean MVR, overtime and weekends may be required.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED; 2‑3 years experience inspecting various types of fire sprinkler systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation; NICET II or III Certification, Backflow Certification preferred.
