Job summary

Fortis Fire & Safety, a nationwide fire protection company, seeks a motivated Fire Sprinkler Foreman to support Clearwater, FL operations. You will lead onsite installation, coordinate field activities, and ensure work meets NFPA standards and project schedules.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of foreman-level experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints and hydraulic calculations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fire sprinkler installation experience with foreman-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
• NFPA 13/14/24 and local code familiarity.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Experience coordinating crews and daily construction activities.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of fire sprinkler systems including piping, valves, hangers, and related components.
• Coordinate field activities with other trades and sequencing on projects.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
• Supervise field crews, assign tasks, and ensure resources are available.
• Oversee layout and installation per NFPA standards and local codes.
• Train and mentor Fitters and Helpers to Piper standards.
• Communicate with Project Managers and other stakeholders.
• Identify field changes and support change orders.
• Perform quality control checks and inspections.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and as-built drawings.
• Promote jobsite safety per OSHA and company policies.
• Stay current on industry standards and training.
