Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install all forms of fire sprinkler systems in Gainesville, FL. The role requires attention to NFPA-based systems and effective communication with Designers, Project Managers, and General Contractors.

You will read blueprints, install piping, coordinate with onsite teams, and ensure safety and quality while progressing through various projects and schedules. Physical work and occasional travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints to install sprinkler piping.
• Enrolled in Sprinkler Apprentice Program and pursuing certification.
• Maintain knowledge of NFPA 13 and sprinkler system components.
• Read design drawings and documentation including zoning.
• Able to operate common pipe fitting tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to install prefabricated sprinkler piping.
• Install new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe with appropriate tools.
• Coordinate with onsite contractors to resolve field conflicts.
• Assist with scheduling and monitor progress focusing on quality.
• Ensure designs comply with code requirements and safety standards.
• Provide guidance to other field installers.
