Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Nashville, TN is seeking a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and related systems for fire protection projects. The role involves coordinating with designers, producing red-line drawings, and reporting progress and issues daily.

Responsibilities include installing fittings, hangers, couplings, sprinklers per codes, and training junior workers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinklers, and industrial processing systems.
• Install pipe fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers per design plan and codes.
• Complete weekly paperwork for CFP and as directed by the General Contractor.
• Communicate with designer before making design changes.
• Produce red-line drawings for designer submission.
• Report project and schedule changes to Field Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Attend project and coordination meetings as required.
• Submit daily progress reports to Field Superintendent and General Contractor.
• Document and report water damage, injuries, and accidents immediately.
• Train Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.
