Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems. You will fit, fabricate, and install sprinkler pipes and components per codes and standards, ensuring quality and safety.

This role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with other trades. Travel to client sites may be required depending on projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years fire sprinkler experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to complete installations accurately.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sprinkler installation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead sprinkler piping, standpipe systems, and sprinkler system components according to design plans.
• Assemble and install system components including hangers, valves, fittings, and backflow prevention.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Measure and cut piping materials to specified lengths using cutting tools.
• Collaborate with plumbers, electricians, and HVAC techs to coordinate installation.
• Test and inspect installed systems for proper operation and regulatory compliance.
• Attend training meetings and contribute improvement recommendations.
• Assist in training apprentices to ensure safe installation procedures.
