RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking a highly motivated Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team in California. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to NFPA standards and local codes, with responsibility for accurate inspections and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in fire protection, holds (or is in the process of obtaining) a California Fire Sprinklers Fitter card, and can work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the fire protection industry, preferably commercial.
• California Fire Sprinklers Fitter card or in process with uptrain status.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per NFPA standards and local codes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose existing fire protection systems and repair malfunctions.
• Complete inspections and document all work performed.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to ensure project efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
• Travel to customer locations within the assigned region.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, emergency exit lights, fire hydrants, and fire pumps as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and local codes.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing fire protection systems to identify and repair malfunctions.
• Completing detailed inspections and documentation of all work performed.
• Collaborating with fellow technicians and management to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Traveling to various customer locations within the assigned region.

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the fire protection industry, preferably with experience in commercial settings.
• Must hold a valid California Fire Sprinklers Fitter card or in process with experience to uptrain California Fire Sprinklers Fitter card.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong note-taking skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Available to work full-time, Monday-Friday.

Salary Description

$38-45/hour
