Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Magnolia, TX, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Installer to install, assemble, and maintain sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.

You will read plans, interpret blueprints, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and company safety policies. A high school diploma and 1–5 years of experience are required; NICET certification or related training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1–5 years of fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• NICET certification or related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices per plans and specs.
• Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools.
• Read construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate with foremen and field personnel to meet schedules.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe, organized condition; follow OSHA rules.

Summary

Responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects; ensures systems are installed according to NFPA standards, project specifications, and company quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices according to plans and specifications
• Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of sprinkler systems
• Coordinate with foremen, other trades, and field personnel to ensure project schedule adherence
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and 1–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting; knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and NFPA standards; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints; strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on skills; NICET certification or trade‑related training preferred.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office applications, word, email.

Physical Demands

Field‑based role at active construction and retrofit sites; requires endurance for extended periods of repetitive movements and moderate physical exertion; frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; ability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and working at heights as needed; manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment; good visual and auditory acuity to safely handle inventory, read labels, and follow instructions; work in confined spaces and variable weather conditions; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; exposure to noise, dust, and construction environments; ability to tolerate working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations; overtime may be required.
