Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to independently install fire sprinkler systems and ensure compliance with codes on commercial and industrial sites.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools, and document installation reports while collaborating with customers and team members. Applicants should have 2+ years of pipefitting experience; NICET I+ preferred; valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fire sprinkler fitting/pipefitting as an Apprentice or Technician.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
