Job summary

CyberCoders in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to create efficient, code-compliant sprinkler system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will develop layouts, perform hydraulic calculations, and produce construction-ready drawings that meet NFPA and local building codes.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure robust, cost-effective, and constructible systems.

Qualifications

3–5 years of fire sprinkler or fire protection design experience.
NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout or Design preferred.
Experience with AutoSPRINK and CAD software.

Responsibilities

Develop fire sprinkler layouts and construction drawings using AutoSPRINK and CAD.
Perform hydraulic calculations and select pipe sizes to NFPA standards.
Ensure designs meet NFPA and local codes; prepare code compliance documentation.
Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects and contractors.
Prepare specifications, material lists, and review submittals.
Provide technical support during permitting, bidding, and construction; respond to RFIs.
Produce as-built drawings and closeout documentation.
Review existing systems for renovations and upgrades.
