Job summary

State Fire Sales & Svc in Boise, ID is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our in-house team. You will prepare detailed design and layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems on commercial, industrial, and residential projects, coordinating with project managers and field crews.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' design experience, strong AutoCAD skills (Revit or HydraCAD a plus), and solid knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20 and 72.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
  • NICET certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 72 standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards, building codes, and local requirements.
  • Prepare hydraulic calculations, material lists, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Review project specifications, submittals, and design criteria with project managers and clients.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
  • Support field installation teams by providing clarifications and design revisions as needed.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation for submittals and approvals.
  • Participate in design review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
