Job summary

Fire Solutions, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Sprinkler Designer to design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

You will create finished representations using AutoCAD/HydraCAD, plan initial project steps, and prepare material lists while coordinating with the project team. Responsibilities include reviewing docs, performing hydraulic calculations, site surveys, and ensures project compliance with schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or mechanical engineering or a related technical degree required.
• NICET certification required (In Training or Level I–IV).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and HydraCAD or similar fire sprinkler layout software.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial, industrial, and residential fire sprinkler design.
• Detail-oriented with strong free-hand drafting and lettering skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team coordination is essential.
• Willing to pass post-offer drug test, background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents and coordinate with subcontractors and owners to design the sprinkler system.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and evaluate system feasibility with architects and contractors.
• Conduct job site surveys and develop material stock lists with suppliers.
• Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD/HydraCAD for construction guidance.
• Support field crews during installation with design-related items.
• Monitor project progress to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Coordinate handover of project information between departments.
