Job summary

W&M Fire Protection, a member of the Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies, seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer for Hawthorne, NY. You will design sprinkler systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare permit packages for new construction and service projects.

Expect ~70% office design work and ~30% field surveys from ladders and lifts. Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK is essential; NFPA 13/13R/13D knowledge and the ability to travel to jobsites are required.

Qualifications

• Prior fire sprinkler design and layout experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (AutoSPRINK preferred).
• Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D.
• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to jobsites.
• NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 and Lift certification preferred.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to add aFire Sprinkler Designerto ourHawthorne, NYteam. In this role, you will produce fire sprinkler system designs and shop drawings using AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare permit and submittal packages for new construction and service projects. The position is approximately 70% office-based design work and 30% field work, including site surveys performed from ladders and lifts. Success in this role requires strong technical design skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to balance office deadlines with field responsibilities.

The wage for this role is$28.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
