Chesapeake Sprinkler Company in Odenton, MD seeks a Fire Sprinkler Design Manager to lead the design department for commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects. You will ensure NFPA compliance, review drawings and calculations, and mentor designers to deliver accurate, constructible designs on schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and field teams, developing standards, and supporting permitting while guiding the team toward continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years of fire sprinkler design experience and 3+ years of design team management.
• NICET Level III or IV preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and fire protection design software; ability to interpret drawings and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of fire sprinkler designers.
• Oversee design of sprinkler and suppression systems for commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA standards and local codes; review drawings, calculations, and submittals.
