Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services seeks a Design Engineer to develop accurate, code-compliant fire sprinkler designs for commercial, residential, and industrial projects in West Valley City, Utah. The role is 100% onsite with relocation assistance possible for qualified candidates and NICET certification support from the company.

Excellent AutoCAD skills are essential, with HydraCAD experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Must have strong AutoCAD experience and fire protection design aptitude.
HydraCAD experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans.
NICET certification preferred but not required; company supports pursuit.

Responsibilities

Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.
Develop layouts for wet, dry, pre-action, and other fire protection systems.
Review architectural, structural, and construction plans to determine project requirements.
Create detailed drawings and system designs using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
Coordinate design details with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Revise drawings based on field conditions, project changes, and review feedback.
Help ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Maintain accurate project documentation and support projects through completion.
