Job summary

Datrose is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Cheltenham, PA. The role involves using CAD to create layouts and detail drawings for fire sprinkler systems, including installation-ready views and dimensions.

You will also perform field surveys, update database records, and support senior designers with drawing revisions. Applicants should have at least 4 years of sprinkler design experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with NFPA codes.

Qualifications

• Solid drafting techniques and familiarity with fire sprinkler terminology.
• At least 4 years of experience with the design and layout of sprinkler systems.
• Able to read/interpet drawings/blueprints and perform basic calculations.
• Experience using AutoCAD; knowledge of HydraCAD or SprinkCAD is a plus.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and on-site field survey ability.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to prepare routine layouts of fire sprinkler systems and detail drawings.
• Prepare assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams with all views and dimensions.
• Make copies of drawings and maintain change records in the database.
• Perform on-site field surveys and measurements of existing installations.
• Read drawings/blueprints and apply fire protection terminology; refer complex questions to lead designers.
