Job summary

Nova Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level CAD designer to join our design team in Schaumburg, IL. Use AutoCAD to design fire sprinkler systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and coordinate with other trades.

Responsibilities include field surveys, hydraulic calculations, material lists, and preparing submittal packages for permit review. Strong communication and reading construction plans are required; degree or CAD certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Degree or certification in engineering/CAD design/architecture or related field.
• Prior experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to conduct field visits at construction sites.
