Job Description

Smoke Control & Fire Damper Engineer role available with our client, a leading manufacturer of ventilation and indoor climate systems. The position offers a basic salary of up to £36k, door-to-door travel pay, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), and opportunities for progression and career development.

Our client has been a leading manufacturer of fire safety and ventilation equipment for over 50 years, specializing in fire dampers and smoke control systems for commercial buildings.

This remote role covers the M4 corridor (Berkshire, Wiltshire, Bristol, etc.) and involves completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on fire dampers and smoke control systems within office buildings, schools, and hospitals. Full training on advanced control systems, including panel maintenance and remedial works, will be provided.

Requirements
  1. Strong background and understanding of the ventilation industry, especially duct work, fire dampers, and smoke control systems.
  2. Experience in maintenance and repairs of fire dampers and smoke control systems.
  3. Located within a commutable distance of the M4.
  4. Full UK driving license.
  5. Knowledge of smoke control panels is desirable but not essential.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE
  • Company vehicle, with optional personal use
  • Door-to-door travel pay
  • 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
  • Overtime at 1.5x, rising to 2x
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (40-hour week)
  • Private healthcare (post-probation)
