Responsibilities
  1. Maintain 24-hour response capability for all emergency calls related to aircraft, structural, vehicular, medical, and other emergencies.
  2. Protect evidence and perform salvage and overhaul at fire scenes.
  3. Participate in required training standards such as IFSAC, NFPA, CFETP, Grants and MCA policies, and adhere to state and local requirements.
  4. Perform fire control center duties, including communication with fire personnel, vehicles, and other agencies.
  5. Conduct fire prevention inspections of base facilities, construction sites, equipment, fire extinguishers, hydrants, and alarm systems.
  6. Perform daily inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and identifying damages.
  7. Stay proficient in vehicle and equipment operations, performing minor maintenance and corrosion control as needed.
  8. Maintain good housekeeping and ground upkeep during shifts.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
  1. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
  2. Hold a current State driver’s license.
  3. Meet NFPA 1001 Firefighter I/II, Driver/Operator ARFF, Pumper, Mobile Water Supply, NFPA 1072 HAZMAT Awareness/Operations, Telecommunicator I/II, and NREMR ARFF qualifications within 12 months of employment.
  4. Pass an annual medical examination per NFPA 1582 standards.
Additional Comments

Employees must obtain a U.S. Air Force Motor Vehicle Operator's card during training and complete annual Flight line Driver's Training. Physical standards per NFPA-1582 must be met, including SCBA use. Background checks are required for network access. Employees are subject to substance abuse testing and are considered "Essential Employees," available for recall 24/7. A resume is not accepted; only online applications are considered.
