Job summary

Department of Business Regulation, Division Protective Services, is seeking a Fire Safety Training Officer (LIUNA RILDC LOCAL 808 DBR DMV DOT FM EMA RISP). The role focuses on organizing, developing, and delivering fire and life safety training for firefighters, trainees, and public safety personnel.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, 20.0 hours weekly. Pay grade C03628; pay range $73,209.00 to $82,203.00; classified as part-time open position.

Qualifications

• Organize, develop, and deliver fire and life safety educational training and programs.
• Assist in preparation of training materials and presentations.
• Assist a superior in coordinating and overseeing the Division's community relations activities.
• Provide technical assistance to officials, supervisors and staff in identifying training needs, planning content of training programs, utilizing training procedures and techniques, developing training material and evaluating the results of training.

Responsibilities
