Job summary

Aoka is seeking a qualified Fire Inspector to perform inspections for commercial, residential, and public facilities to ensure compliance with fire codes and safety regulations. This is an as-needed/part-time position requiring travel to sites.

Responsibilities include scheduling on-site inspections for new construction and existing buildings, evaluating fire protection systems, documenting findings, and coordinating with property owners and authorities to resolve code violations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel for inspections.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• ICC Fire Inspector Certification or equivalent fire safety credentials required

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site inspections for new construction, renovations, and existing buildings to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes.
• Evaluate fire protection systems, alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and means of egress.
• Identify potential fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete inspection reports and required documentation in accordance with NFPA, local codes, and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with property owners, contractors, and municipal authorities to resolve fire code violations.
