Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Fire Response Driver in Mount Vernon, IN. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to emergencies with a focus on safety and customer service.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and firefighting experience. The position offers part-time hours with daytime night shifts and the potential to explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous firefighting experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and directing visitors per procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and document observations and actions.
• Prepare clear patrol and incident reports while noting hazard notices and restricted areas.
