Job summary

Western States Fire Protection Company in Rapid City, SD is seeking a motivated Fire Protection Project Manager to join our Rapid City team. Whether you're an experienced fire protection professional or a construction project manager looking to grow into a specialized industry, we'll provide the support and resources to help you succeed.

The salary range for this position is $65,000–$75,000 for entry-level candidates. Experienced construction project managers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field is preferred, but is not required.
• Project management experience in construction or a related industry is a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar software is a plus but not required.
• NICET certification is a plus, but not required
• Self-motivated professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and profitability
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and field teams
• Review construction documents and develop sprinkler system designs
• Perform hydraulic calculations and material takeoffs
• Lead project planning, manpower forecasting, and field coordination
• Manage project financials, billing, and change orders
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and code requirements
• Build strong relationships with customers and project partners
