Job summary

Western States Fire Protection is seeking a motivated Fire Protection Project Manager to join our Rapid City team. You will oversee project schedules, budgets, and safety compliance, coordinating with customers, general contractors, and field teams to deliver reliable sprinkler systems.

We value candidates with a degree in engineering or related field, PM experience in construction, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
  • PM experience in construction or related industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, HydraCAD or similar software is a plus but not required.
  • NICET certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and profitability
  • Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and field teams
  • Review construction documents and develop sprinkler system designs
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and material takeoffs
  • Lead project planning, manpower forecasting, and field coordination
  • Manage project financials, billing, and change orders
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and code requirements
  • Build strong relationships with customers and project partners

Fire Protection Project Manager

We're looking for a motivated Construction Project Manager to join our Rapid City team. Whether you're an experienced fire protection professional or a construction project manager looking to grow into a specialized industry, we'll provide the support and resources to help you succeed.

The salary range for this position is $65,000–$75,000 for entry-level candidates. Experienced construction project managers are encouraged to apply. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
Job Responsibilities
