Job summary

Encore Fire Protection in the United States is seeking a Fire Protection Systems Estimator who can blend field assessments with office-based estimating to deliver accurate, compelling proposals. You will guide customers through the estimating process for fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems, coordinating with internal teams and general contractors to define project scope and pricing.

Prior fire protection experience is not required, but curiosity and relationship skills are

Qualifications

• Formal sales experience that goes beyond retail or hospitality.
• Experience selling a service is a plus.
• Willingness to learn in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to adopt and self-teach CRM platforms, ticketing software, and industry tools.
• People-oriented approach to build trust and rapport.
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Competitive spirit and resilience in complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Meeting customers, conducting site surveys, and gathering measurements and system information.
• Building estimates, proposals, and preengineering solutions for fire protection projects.
• Reviewing construction documents and coordinating with general contractors, owners, and internal teams to define project scope.
• Collaborating with project management, design, field operations, and estimators to ensure accurate proposals.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
• Spending time in the field to understand system conditions and pricing.
• Approximately 70% of time in the office on estimates, remainder on customer interactions.
