Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. in the United States seeks an Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for fire protection projects, analyze drawings, and support bids. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with scope.

The role requires 3–5 years of estimation experience in fire sprinkler systems, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of cost estimation experience in fire sprinkler systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in estimation software, plus Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• NICET Level I or greater (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for fire protection and safety projects.
• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and documentation to determine scope.
• Conduct site visits to identify cost factors and risks.
• Prepare and submit bids and proposals; ensure alignment with client specs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to refine estimates.
• Review and adjust estimates with scope or spec changes.
• Coordinate quotes from vendors/subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers and integrate costs into estimates.
• Monitor project costs and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Maintain records of estimates, bids, and related docs.
