Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead the fire protection design and operation for a large semiconductor facility. You will oversee alarms, sprinklers, suppression, and life-safety integration across design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and ongoing operations.

The role requires eight years of relevant experience and a strong knowledge of NFPA codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is expected, with a PE or NICET certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum eight years of fire protection design and operational experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and life-safety standards.
• Experience with facility design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• PE license or NICET Fire Protection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to meet design specs.
• Review drawings, submittals, and construction progress.
• Assist commissioning, testing, validation, and start-up.
• Oversee alarms, sprinklers, suppression, and life-safety systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement practical solutions.
• Ensure NFPA codes and local regulations compliance.
• Support capacity planning, system evaluations, audits, drills.
• Lead improvement initiatives through capex and opex projects.
• Maintain procedures and system documentation.
• Provide on-call support in a 24/7 plant environment.
