Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) invites you to join our Madison office as a Fire Protection Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will contribute to energy-efficient building solutions while learning from seasoned engineers who solve complex challenges.

We value collaboration, hands-on project exposure, and mentorship. Enrollment in ABET-accredited mechanical or architectural engineering programs with strong GPAs and leadership in student activities are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program from ABET-accredited school.
• Completed 3 years of coursework or have a junior standing.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Learn through significant and complex projects with mentorship and guidance.
• Observe how a successful engineering firm operates and collaborates.
• Develop foundational fire protection design skills focused on energy efficiency and building safety.
