Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in our Austin office.

You will help empower clients with energy-efficient building solutions and gain exposure to high-impact projects across healthcare, science, and technology sectors. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program, have completed at least 3 years of coursework or junior standing, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program from ABET-accredited school.
• Completed 3 years of coursework or have a junior standing.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing energy-efficient building solutions and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers on significant and complex projects.
• Observe operations of a successful engineering firm and learn from mentors.
• Support teams to deliver high-impact project outcomes.
