Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Engineer 1 to support design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of fire detection and life-safety systems. You will gather requirements, prepare shop drawings, coordinate with teams, and ensure quality through testing and acceptance activities.

The role involves field support, documentation, and adherence to NFPA codes, IBC, and related standards. Eligibility for a Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Fire Protection, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical field.
• 0+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house testing and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems.
• Program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in PITCO and onsite.
• Provide training on operations and maintenance of the system.
• Support day-to-day project operations and site surveys.
• Produce takeoffs, BOMs, and contribute to proposals.
• Read blueprints and ensure code-compliant deliverables.
