Summit Fire Consulting is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design and evaluate life-safety systems for buildings. The role involves code consulting, performance-based design, and collaboration on larger projects at a national level.
You will work on hydraulic calculations, fire and smoke modeling, and egress analyses, with on-site inspections and documentation responsibilities. A PE or EIT with PE plans is preferred.
This position provides services such as life safety code consulting, sprinkler/suppression system design, fire alarm system design and performance-based fire engineering both locally and nationally. Communicate effectively with team members and across multiple business functional areas. Remain technically brilliant and involved in local and national industry focus areas with the ability to manage multiple client opportunities and proposal delivery simultaneously.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods. Employee will occasionally be required to drive, bend, kneel, balance, lift <20lb, walk, stand, ascend/descend stairs, reach above and below shoulders, stoop, and twist. Up to 25% Travel may be required. Up to 25% travel may be required.
Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office or remote setting, work alone and with others. Employees will occasionally be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.
