Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years' experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design under supervision.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports to professional standards.
• Assist in field investigations, detailed design, and coordination of design aspects.
• Identify applicable codes and standards relevant to inquiries.
• Conduct basic building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection systems reviews, and hydraulic calculations.
• Apply engineering calculations for size, means of egress, building area, sprinkler water supply, and smoke control.
• Submit progress reports to Project Managers and Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, clients and others.
