We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join the Facilities Division Fire Protection Department (FAC-FP). This position supports and implements aspects of the Argonne Fire Protection Program. As a fire protection engineer, you will be responsible for performing fire hazard analyses and facility fire protection assessments, completing design reviews, supporting maintenance activities completed by Argonnes Fire Systems Technicians, and other engineering tasks assigned by the Department Manager. You will be responsible for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner using independent judgment to facilitate effective and efficient workflow. You will work closely with other members of FAC-FP to achieve the departments goals.

The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level (PT3 or PT4) dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills brought to the position, as well as the amount of relevant experience. The requirements of the various levels are as follows :

The expected hiring range for this position is $83,264.00 - $131,343.03.
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs. Additionally, comprehensive benefits are part of the total rewards package.
