Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to produce protection drawings and calculations for permitting and construction across healthcare, storage, assemblies, mercantile facilities, and more. Proficiency with AutoSprink and BIM coordination is required.

NICET level 3 in Water-Based System Layout is preferred. The candidate will work with the Design Manager, perform hydraulic calculations, review drawings, attend site visits, and ensure designs meet NFPA and FM

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years fire protection design experience.
• Experience with BIM (Navisworks) is required.
• Texas NICET Level 3 is a plus.
• RME-G certification is required.
• Familiarity with NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22 and FM Global Standards.
• Technical understanding of Wet, Dry, Preaction and Deluge systems.
• AutoCAD experience and third party software training.

Responsabilités

• Design fire protection systems using architected dimensions and structures.
• Perform hydraulic calculations as required.
• Coordinate drawings with Design Manager and project teams.
• Review design drawings prior to fabrication and permit submittals.
• Attend project meetings and site visits as needed.
• Communicate changes and discrepancies to affected parties.
• Review submittals for size, quantity, and compatibility with equipment.
