Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for a variety of projects. You will create layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and prepare hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Responsibilities include reading contract documents, BIM modeling, field surveying, and coordinating with trades to ensure accurate fabrication lists.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCad, Revit, and/or Hydratec Experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated with great organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and lay out Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents including construction drawings and specs.
• Write, plan, coordinate, and present to individuals and groups.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• Conduct BIM modeling and field surveying.
• Create fabrication lists and coordinate between trades.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Shambaugh is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who will design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned

• Fire Protection design experience preferred.

• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $55,000 - 115,000 annual salary

Other Compensation: Profit Sharing Bonus
