Qualifications

• Prior experience in the Fire Protection Industry is required.
• Design Engineer experience is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting is essential.
• Knowledge in 3D design software is advantageous.
• Understanding of MS Office applications is necessary.
• Willingness to study for NICET certification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software.
• Direct contractors for proper installation and operation of systems.
• Survey job sites for proper design and installation.
• Implement customer-supplied project specifications.
• Attend manufacturer training and continued education classes.
• Create operation and maintenance manuals for projects.
• Assist with engineering-related tasks within the office.
• Facilitate system inspection and maintenance when needed.
• Assist in system startups and commissioning as required.

Skills

Experience in the Fire Protection Industry

Design Engineering experience

Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting
