Job summary

3S Incorporated in Harrison, OH seeks a Design Draftsperson to apply engineering judgment for system configuration and to develop compliant fire protection solutions. You will act as a technical resource for the division and coordinate with clients on-site, ensuring technical accuracy of projects.

Responsibilities include drafting, site surveys, documentation, and supporting commissioning, inspections, and maintenance with opportunities for NICET certification.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Desire to advance fire protection knowledge and NICET certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design drawings for life safety and asset protection systems.
• Communicate design requirements to internal and external team members.
• Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation.
• Assist office staff with engineering and technical tasks.
• Pursue NICET certification.
• Update and maintain drawings reflecting field changes and revisions.
• Assist with system commissioning, inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Develop O&M manuals with equipment data, procedures, schedules, warranties, and closeout documentation.
• Travel to participate in manufacturer training programs.
• Assist in system inspections, startup and commissioning.
