Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of public agency experience reviewing simple plans and permit applications.
• Completion of college units in building inspection, architectural drafting, engineering, or fire protection related courses.
• ICC permit technician certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret simple building plans, sprinkler and alarm systems for compliance.
• Advise the public at counter/phone on codes and regulations.
• Coordinate routing, filing, and logging of plans to staff.
