Qualifications

• Specialized experience overseeing firefighting, EMS and hazmat operations.
• Selective Placement Factors require Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II or equivalent.
• Education substitution not allowed; specialized experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire alarms and assume command of firefighting activities.
• Develop plans and procedures to provide an efficient firefighting force.
• Schedule and approve leave of subordinates.
• Direct fire prevention and protection on a shift basis for a large installation.
