Responsibilities
  • Drives and operates emergency response vehicles
  • Selects proper firefighting tools and equipment to control and extinguish fires
  • Performs search and rescue operations
  • Uses appropriate safety equipment to mitigate hazardous materials incidents
  • Performs extrication operations as needed
  • Inspects and conducts preventive maintenance on fire suppression systems
  • Delivers training sessions as assigned by the training division
  • Performs various security activities throughout the plant
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment and demonstrates company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
  • Supports compliance with ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and ISO 17025 competencies
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active/valid/current Driver’s License
  • Alabama Professional Standards Fire Fighter I and II certification
  • Current Nationally Registered or State of Alabama EMT-Paramedic certification
  • One year of industrial Fire Fighter experience or two years of municipal Fire Fighter experience
  • Comfortable with tablet and interactive app use
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
